excerpt: Imps of Misfortune (8 minutes)
(c) Christina Oparenko, used by permission
Christina Oparenko is a nice Englishwoman who, when she was a nice little English girl, listened wide-eyed -- a little scared, but fascinated-- to her boisterous immigrant relatives singing and laughing and telling old tales around the holiday table. After she grew up, she wrote a wonderful book, published by Oxford Press but currently out of print, called "Ukrainian Folktales."
