The Art Contest
A long long long long long time ago, there was a boy, about thirteen years
old. He was the smartest person in Vietnam, and his name was Trang Quynh.
There was a war, then, between Viet Nam and China. A Chinese man named Trang
Khuyen went into Viet Nam, and he had a question. He said, "In your
country, can you make drawings of wild animals, like I can, in one minute?"
Trang Quynh said, "You draw in one minute two wild animals. I'll draw,
in one second, TEN wild animals."
Trang Khuyen, he went first. He picked up a brush in each hand and drew--
whisha-wisha-wisha-wisha-- and in one minute, with this hand Trang Khuyen
drew a tiger, and with the other hand he drew a lion. Beautiful!
Trang Quyn said, "You drew very well. Now, in one second-- ten wild
animals!" He took his ten fingers, and dipped them in ink, and drew
them down all at the same time across the paper.

"Ten worms," he said. "I win."
